You Can, You Will, You Must...3 Steps to the results you want.

Why are we not getting the results we want? Why do we continue not doing what we know we should? How can I get on the right track, and stay there? If you ask yourself these questions you are not alone. I believe that all of us struggle with the same thoughts, even the Apostle Paul did saying, "What I don't understand about myself is that I decide one way, but then I act another, doing things I absolutely despise" Romans 7:15 Msg

Through years of study and questioning my own actions, I have narrowed it down to 3 steps that will help us to get on the right path. This blog will be a foundational block to closing the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it. Take comfort in this fact, you already possess all that you need to achieve your goals and dreams. Now, let's dig into the mindset to receive that which we seek.

You Can- The first step to all achievement is to believe that you can. Henry Ford once said “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.” Here is an interesting thought, I think most people believe that what they want is possible, more than they believe it's possible for them. Do you really believe that "with God all things are possible", or is that just something you like to say at church? BELIEVE!

You Will- Now that you believe that you can we must add focus. To exercise your will is to fix your mind on a certain thought until it produces itself physically. This is the area that involves discipline. When I think about this it reminds me of when I was younger, taking a magnifying glass and burning leaves. In order to do that it required patience and intense focus, and so will achieving your goals.

You Must-This is where the rubber meets the road! In order to get the results you desire, it is crucial that you develop an attitude that you "MUST" have it. No more wishing, I am talking about the all-consuming desire that Jesus spoke about in Mark 11:24 (Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.) The word desire has a meaning of placing a demand on what you want. The time has come to move from I would like this to happen, to I will not stop until it does happen.
